Google Translator App - Visual Translator


Google has rolled out another update to its Translate app for Android, adding Google Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology.
Now all you need to do is click!

Steps To Use:


Google Translator App

  1. Press the camera button.
  2. Point at the text and tap to freeze.
  3. Then brush with your finger over the particular text you want to translate.
  4. Translated text pops onto the screen.

Note: Users will still be able to use the text to speech option.

Translation Languages Supported:
Afrikaans, Albanian, Arabic, Armenian, Azerbaijani, Basque, Belarusian, Bengali, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Esperanto, Estonian, Filipino, Finnish, French, Galician, Georgian, German, Greek, Gujarati, Haitian Creole, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Irish, Italian, Japanese, Kannada, Korean, Latin, Latvian, Lithuanian, Macedonian, Malay, Maltese, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swahili, Swedish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Vietnamese, Welsh, Yiddish.

Google will be adding some more languages to the list in the near future.
