This tutorial will be about flashing official firmware for ANY model of Samsung galaxy S3 or any Samsung galaxy device.
By following this guide you can upgrade or downgrade the your galaxy device to Android (4.0.4, 4.1.1, 4.1.2, 4.2.1, 4.2.2, 4.3 ...) firmware.
Flashing instructions :
Backup your data first
1- Download official firmware from SamMobile or Samsung-updates
and Odin3 (Link below)
2- Unzip the downloaded files (odin3 and firmware) only one time
3- Open "Odin3" as administrator
4- Click on PDA (AP for Odin3 v3.09) button and browse to the *.tar or *.tar.md5 file that you extracted (this is for firmware which contains only one file *.tar or *.tar.md5)
- If the Zip file contains more than one *.tar file then they will be labelled with PDA, Phone and CSC. Put them in the corresponding section of Odin
5 - Disconnect any device connected to USB ports on your computer and disable your antivirus software
6 - Shut down your device and put it into download mode (Volume down + Home + Power)
7 - Volume up to continue
9 - Connect the device to your computer by USB cable and wait until you get a sign in Odin (ID:COM section) and "Added" in message
10 - Make sure re-partition is NOT TICKED [Very important]
11 - Click Start and wait a few minutes.
~ This Guide can be used for any model of Samsung galaxy S3 (AT&T,Verizon,US,Cellular,T-Mobile,Sprint,Metro,Cricket,LTE), just download the correct firmware file for the model of your device.
~ Do not disconnect the cable or turn off the device while flashing
~ Flashing official FW won't void the warranty
~ You might need to factory reset your device after downgrading.
